April Newsletter

4.jpg

It's the beginning of a new month at Institution Ale Company and we're here to bring you more beer just in time for spring! We have a brand new pizza and we’ll be seeing the return of Stranded, Thai Chili White Walls, Disarray and a few other newbies this month. Keep reading to catch up on the latest happening at IAC this April.

April specialty Pizza

This month’s specialty pizza is the Olive Oil, Sausage & Herbs! It has an olive oil base, sausage, mushroom, goat cheese, garlic, red onion and a trio of herbs (rosemary, basil and oregano). Come try one for lunch or dinner with your favorite IAC pint, available at both locations!

Trivia Tuesdays

institution trivia Poster 2018.jpg

Every Tuesday from 7pm-9pm we host a special Institution trivia night at our Camarillo location with the most talented quiz master around. Come test your random knowledge with friends, grab a pint and some pizza! Winners receive IAC gift cards.

Upcoming Beers

These beers will be getting tapped in the tasting room soon.  Check out our beer release calendar (above), and follow us on social media for the exact release dates!

Pink Guava Day Dreamin’ (Golden Ale w/ fruit) - 4.7%
Pink Guava Day Dreamin’ is part of our Day Dreamin’ series of fruited golden ales. This beer is light and easy to drink, with a fruity sweetness that's not overpowering. This beer features Pink Guava. Make sure to get a fill to take home!

Raspberry Day Dreamin’ (Golden Ale w/ fruit) - 4.7%
Raspberry Day Dreamin’ is part of our Day Dreamin’ series of fruited golden ales. This beer is light and easy to drink, with a fruity sweetness that's not overpowering. This beer features raspberry. This beer will be available on tap and for fills.

Batch 431 (Nitro Amber) - 5.5%
A malty amber utilizing munich and caramelized malts. This beer has rich malt sweetness without the roasted and dark malts you’d expect from a stout. Hop aroma and bitterness is low and it’s served on nitro for extra creaminess.

Stranded (Coconut Stout) - 5.6%
We toasted over 100 pounds of coconut for this beer - the result is a roasty, lower ABV stout with a touch of coconut sweetness. It’ll be back in the tasting room on nitro later this month!

Restraint w/ Coconut, Cacao Nibs & Lactose (Maple Brown Ale) - 6.0%
Our flagship brown ale with toasted coconut and baked cacao nibs. Lactose (milk sugar) is added to give the beer more body to support the additional sweetness from the cacao. This is a small batch split between Camarillo and Santa Barbara, so grab it quick when it taps!

Batch 436 (American Stout) - 6.5%
A traditional American Stout recipe composed of pale, dark crystal and roasted malts. Batch 436 is full bodied and chocolate forward with a touch of American hop character (Willamette and Centennial).

Batch 436 w/ Coffee (American Stout w/ coffee) - 6.5%
A small portion (3 bbls) of Batch 436 transferred onto Olympia Coffee Espresso.

Thai Chili White Walls (White IPA) - 6.7%
One of our most popular spicy beers, we added a ton of Thai Chilies to our white IPA for a great blend of citrusy heat. It never lasts long, so come enjoy this spicy version of White Walls before it disappears.

Vacancy IPA (Double Dry Hopped IPA) - 6.7%
This IPA recipe featuring Cascade, Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic hops. Expect intense hop aroma from an additional dry hop and a medium, clean bitterness. Lookout for this beer on tap later this month, along with some 4-pack cans!

West Coast Or Die! (West Coast IPA) - 7.1%
No disrespect to hazy IPAs, but we’re all about those clear, crisp, bitter IPAs that put craft beer on the map. West Coast or Die! uses Mosaic, Simcoe and Chinook hops to create an IPA that’s fruity, piney and dank.

Watching Giants Fall (Double IPA) - 8.9%
Our latest Double IPA is packed full of Amarillo, Mosaic and Simcoe hops. The citrusy and tropical hops are laid over a bare bones base of 2-row and Pilsner malts. Watching Giants Fall is super dry and crisp with sturdy bitterness.

Disarray (Double IPA) - 10.1%
A big 10.1% Double IPA overloaded with dank and resinous hops - Columbus, Simcoe and Summit. Disarray is bitter with a sturdy malt backbone.
